Join TRANSFORM in supporting impact enterprises to Survive & Thrive

We are delighted to announce the launch of TRANSFORM Survive & Thrive: a new platform to help early- and growth-stage impact enterprises in sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia with finance and business support.

Why Survive & Thrive?

Local impact enterprises are one of the most effective and sustainable routes to create widespread change in developing countries, yet the economic and social disruption caused by COVID-19 has put otherwise healthy, high potential businesses at risk.

Innovation, local know-how and presence, and a focus on addressing low-income household issues render impact enterprises the key to successfully responding to the COVID-19 crisis.

The impact of COVID-19 on these businesses presents a potential additional crisis in both the short and long term. Right now, many consumers are unable to access critical products and services, and in the long term, critical innovations could be lost if a generation of businesses are allowed to fail. This could result in loss of potential impact and intellectual advancements that are key drivers of development.

For the last five years, TRANSFORM has been working with impact enterprises to help them develop and refine commercially-sustainable business models that combine positive impact with business growth. TRANSFORM is now extending its efforts to support impact enterprises during the pandemic.

What support is available?

The TRANSFORM Survive & Thrive platform contains a suite of tools and resources to support impact enterprises with business-critical issues and processes, from strategy to financial planning to marketing. Impact enterprises can receive support and access to finance to help them survive and ensure business continuity, and to thrive by pivoting to COVID-19 response efforts while developing more resilient business models.

Our intention is that the support available through the platform will continue to grow as additional public, private and non-profit organisations join the initiative and contribute additional tools and resources.

If this sounds aligned with your objectives, we’d love to hear from you and explore the opportunity to work together on this initiative.

How can your organisation get involved?

We’re calling on other organisations to join us and broaden the reach and impact of the TRANSFORM Survive & Thrive platform. This is crucial to safeguarding the future of impact enterprises that have high potential to accelerate sustainable and inclusive development. TRANSFORM is seeking public, private and non-profit partners to join the TRANSFORM Survive & Thrive platform to expand and enhance its scale and impact.

We are seeking contributing partners who can provide a range of business and finance support including:

Convening power and domain expertise: Organisations with access to a network of impact enterprises that could benefit from the TRANSFORM Survive & Thrive platform, and organisations that can convene enterprises for impactful and scalable projects aimed at global recovery from COVID-19.

Business support: Organisations with tools and resources they can contribute to the TRANSFORM Survive & Thrive platform.

Products or services: Organisations that supply essential products and are looking to partner with others to protect these critical supply chains and distribute these products to those who need them most, in a sustainable way.

Funding access: Organisations with access to a funding mechanism that they can share to help businesses respond to COVID-19, ensuring enterprises can access the necessary finance to react and respond to the crisis.

If you or your organisation is interested in joining us in this mission, please sign up to our newsletter through the link at the bottom of this page, contact us directly at  transform@mullenlowesalt.com,  and follow us on LinkedIn and Twitter

We have a once-in-a-generation chance to protect critical businesses to help them survive in a time of need, so they can thrive when we emerge from the pandemic and continue to make the impact the world needs.
