WASH Toolkit for Social Enterprises
Published on: 23/08/2024
Safe drinking water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) are crucial to human health and well-being. Safe WASH is not only necessary for improved health and quality of life, but contributes to livelihoods, dignity and other related issues like workforce participation, school attendance, social engagement, and helping create resilient communities.
Small-scale social enterprises around the world are emerging as important contributors to sustainable WASH practices and service delivery for low-income communities and households. Like with all businesses, ensuring programmes and services successfully scale-up is crucial.
In collaboration with the Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Programmes, TRANSFORM has developed a toolkit to help WASH enterprises grow their business by understanding and leveraging the relationships that exist within and around their organisations.
