Spring Health is an organisation that delivers affordable, safe drinking water to underserved households in India. Its innovative model is based on a partnership between kiosks, called kirana shops, in small villages and incentive-based profit-sharing with local entrepreneurs. These local entrepreneurs run the kiranas under a franchising system, which includes the installation of water tanks, filters and chlorine provision for water purification. They then ensure daily delivery of 10-litre jerry cans of safe drinking water to underserved rural communities. Spring Health currently delivers safe drinking water to 150,000 customers across hundreds of villages in East India. By 2025, Spring Health aims to bring the service to 20,000 villages across India, reaching 2 million unique customers. Springhealth also uses Chlorine Dioxide technology to remove chemical impurities from the source water like Arsenic, Fluoride, Sulphur, Turbidity, Iron. Spring Health is a Gold Standard Certified company, which generates Carbon Credits and helps in reducing the Carbon footprint across the globe.
