PPMVs are crucial providers of health information and products in Nigeria. As COVID-19 arrived in Nigeria and access to health products and services became at risk, NaijaCare set out to ensure that PPMVs could continue to serve the needs of their communities.

Every1Mobile design and deliver digital solutions to drive social change in low-income communities across sub-Saharan Africa and other emerging markets. They provide tools and services to enable people to transform their lives with the mobile technology they already own. Using mobile enables them to reach people quickly, facilitate meaningful engagement and measure social change.

NaijaCare – a product from Every1Mobile – is an online mobile platform that offers a range of digital tools and capacity building for informal Patent and Proprietary Medicine Vendors (PPMVs) to drive revenue and service quality and, in turn, improve quality of care and nutrition outcomes for urban, low-income communities. Naijacare ultimately combines supply and demand-side solutions for health outcomes.
The idea

Ensuring PPMVs have the needed information and equipment to help their communities through the pandemic, and that consumers are aware of benefits of hand hygiene in maintaining good health and protecting against COVID-19.
