Raise Living Standards
Geography:
Côte d’Ivoire

The Farm Services and Income Diversification Project aimed to reduce the level of poverty within Ivorian cocoa producers by improving incomes and strengthening the resilience of cocoa farming households and their communities. TRANSFORM helped test two hypotheses related to non-cocoa services that would complement yield increases and help with diversification of income sources to boost economic resilience of the participating farming communities. The project focused on women’s groups with the intent to establish Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs) and income diversification activities.
